The National climate risk assessment has just dropped and well… It's devastating. But it has also only confirmed what our communities already know; climate impacts are here and they're only getting worse.

What is clear is the government has failed us. Just 3 days ago the government gave its final approval of the Woodsides North West Shelf until 2070, and at the start of the month they approved an extension for a coal mine in NSW. With the government set to release their new emission reductions target in the near future - now is the time we need every single one of you emailing your local member and telling them that we cannot continue to burn coal and gas, and our government must commit to net zero by 2035.

We have the power, collectively if we all use our voices we can demand our government takes action and prioritises our communities. What our political leaders do today will shape the world we grow up in, the world our babies grow up in - so now is the time for us all to raise our voices louder than we ever have before.
